Alors-

As of right now no one knows about this blog. . .which I should probably fix.  As of right now I am thinking of posting a link on Facebook, various TPRS on-line communities, and writing up a little note with the site address for all of my buddies at the Senior Center, but I have yet to think of anyone else.

At this point I would also like to make a sort of disclaimer:

              1.  This blog may contain various types of errors.  All manner of misspellings, grammatical inaccuracies, geographical errors, and every kind of unintentional mistake under the sun.

              2.  This blog will be full of my INITIAL reactions to events in my life in France.  I will try to not be to hasty in telling ya'll about an event or even a sticky situation that has transpired in my life, but I cannot guarantee that.  I will try very hard not to offend anyone, but PLEASE take everything I say with a grain of salt.  Along the same lines, I apologize, but I am not going to worry about being totally politically correct.  For example, throughout this blog I will refer to the French as Frenchies.

              3.  Some of my posts will be entirely in French.  This is not to exclude anyone, and most of the time (if I have the time/energy) I will translate the entry into English, but I feel that total immersion is the best way to take full advantage of this experience, and that includes speaking and writing in French (even on my down time) and although this will, I am sure, be very very difficult to do, I am determined to achieve a certain level of fluency, which I believe, can only be done with a certain level of commitment on my part.
That being said, I plan to politely request all of my french friends to communicate with me in French.  Should anyone I meet like to practice their English me I would be happy to do so but would appreciate it if we might be able to split the time between speaking languages.  For example, we might speak English for a half an hour followed by French for remainder of the hour.

I am sure that their are other things I should explain, but I cannot think of anything else so please forgive me for however I miss step.  Know that it is always unintentional.
